Japanese Girls Don Cosplay Outfits for Japan’s Biggest Animation Exhibition

Cosplay is a made up Japanese word derived from Costume Play.

It’s basically an excuse for otherwise questionably normal people, adults mind you, to dress up and pretend they are their favorite animation character.

Or, there might be a character they just look like.

I kind of look like Doraemon, except I am not cute or blue and I have

ears. Okay, I don’t look like any Japanese animation character that I know of.

Still, Japan’s biggest two day animation character and hobby exhibition – C3xHobby 2007 is enough reason for Japanese men and women, boys and girls to dress up and parade around among some 70,000 attendants.

Think of it as Halloween where everyone dresses up like a cartoon character.

If America is included…maybe I could go as Foghorn Leghorn.

Who are these two girls trying to be?

Does nobody want to dress up like Kylie of the Ello Bello series?

Meanwhile…Chinese kids are dressing up, too. But for different reasons.
