Sony Qriocity, an on demand movie service launching in Feb 2010

Sony introduces the Qriocity, One of Sony’s initial steps in building an Online Service to rival such as Netflix, iTunes and anything else that makes an earning by selling downloadable content.

What one is going to see in the future is a dedicated remote control button on Sony’s future TV sets.

This service will let you stream movies in SD or HD depending on the choice, and Insiders at Sony say that, a strong web connection you’ll be able to get a solid 720p output.

Sony promises “hundreds” of films to be available at Qriocity’s
launch.
