Nexus One Online Store by Google Has Been Shut Down Permanently

Google Nexus One, Google’s first step into reaching the customer directly through retail of mobile phone hardware, has been ceased permanently, as the web giant decided to shut down the Google Nexus One Device store. As Google announced that the device had be phased out of production and would no longer be available, so it took the step shut down the store which made the device’s availability online.

Even though the availability of the device has been scarce, as the production has been ceased, there has been a small amount of demand for the gadget in the market. It is available in selected stores in UK and around Europe.

For Google it may sound as a loss, as the hand set has been phased out, but on the other side where the Google Android phone is on the verge of capturing the smartphone market, it is not a regret after all. Android has been adopted by many smartphone manufacturers as an OS, like the iPhone 4 and RIM.
