Kodak wins initial ruling in patent fight with Samsung

The International Trade Commission has decided a preliminary ruling which goes towards Kodak in its major dispute with Samsung over the issue of digital camera patents.

Although the original lawsuit also included LG, an out of court settlement has left only Samsung in the dispute, and this early decision has confirmed that two of Kodak’s patents were infringed in the production of its cameraphones.

With Christmas season kicking in, there should be no effect on the sales of these brands, but maybe Samsung would not be many people choice after all.
