Google Inc has launched Google transliteration IME.

Google transliteration is a typing service made available by Google for Hindi and other Indic languages.

This tool transliterates by matching the Latin words with an inbuilt dictionary

Google Transliteration IME is made available in 14 different languages – Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Greek.

The best feature about this is that it doesnt require a internet connection.

The Google Transliteration can be downloaded at – http://www.google.com/ime/transliteration/

Last month in Dec 2009 Google released a offline version called Google IME.

    It seems like now it becomes very easy to translate from any language to any other language. The google provides a huge language for online and now it come in offline. Very nice topic and very informative.
