Apple’s third-quarter earnings

Apple corporation earnings according to their third quarter press release seems quite interesting.

17% hike in Mac sales from about a year ago . Normally the PC market is expected to grow at 2%, seems like Apple took a good share from Microsoft by also having sales higher of Macs abroad then in the US.

iPod sales down by 8% from about a year back. iPod touch for 100% more.

iPhones were a 7% higher in sales the third quarter.

Third quarter revenues around  $9.87 billion, analysts expected $9.2 billion.

273 Apple stores opened, around $400 million a year on stores.

Korea & China are set to roll iPhones out in Apple’s fourth quarter. Canada and UK would be a second iPhone carrier.
