IPL’s Version Of Time-Outs
The second edition of the Indian Premier League will see something new in the form of Strategy Breaks.
This means that the games would last for 15 minutes longer than the normal duration.
This really isn’t an innovation but a slight alteration to the original format which will give teams a bit more time to strategise.
Two small breaks will be given after every 10 overs are bowled, mainly to the side that is fielding so that they can plan for the rest of the innings.
However, critics are already pointing their fingers, saying that this is being done just to pump-up the time allotted to advertisers which in turns benefits the IPL organizers.
