ICL Faces Another Rejection

The ICL had recently given strong signals of seeking an amalgamation within the global cricketing circles by seeking an in-road among ICC’s recognised fixtures.

 

In fact, the ICL bosses had even been on talking terms with some sources in the IPL for some sort of a merger.

 

However, now things have taken a turn for the worst-possible scenario.

 

The ICL had put up a demand to be granted international recognition as cricketing league.

 

The ICC has rejected this petition and this is sure to enrage the ICL authorities.

 

ICL is already facing a tough time being unable to host scheduled matches for 2009 and some of its prominent former international stars are asking for a way out.
