The Mumbai Indians huffed, puffed and dragged along at many points during their 20-over stint at the crease, but finally managed to put a decent 166 runs on the board.

 

One thing is sure — the pitches in South Africa do have something for the bowlers, if not outright swing, at least some bounce is definitely there.

 

This is what the tall bowlers like Gony from the CSK did to ensure that the batsmen couldn’t hit on the rise.

 

The batting for the Mumbai Indians was carried on the shoulders of two original Mumbaikars — Tendulkar (59*) and the upcoming all-rounder, Nayyar.

 

Is 166 enough? Could well be, as long as the MI can bowl straight and guard themselves against Flintoff and Dhoni of the Super Kings.
