Delhi Daredevils Win Rain-curtailed Game

For the first time, the weather factor has played a spoiler in the ongoing matches of the IPL2009.

The first game for the Delhi Daredevils and the Kings XI was rain hit and it had to be revised a number of times to seek out a result.

Batting first, the Punjab XI made a decent score of about 105 in 12 overs.

However, with the rain interrupting repeatedly, the target had to be reduced for the DD at 57 within just 6 overs.

Well, they don’t call Sehewag and Gambhir the best opening pair in contemporary cricket for nothing.

The duo smashed the Kings XI bowlers mercilessly and won the match with seven balls to spare with Sehewag scoring a tornado-like 38.
