Can Anyone Decode Henderson’s IPL Selection?

One of the most expensive players that the Rajasthan Royals picked-up during the IPL auction is Tyron Henderson.

 

However, his selection raises a few queries which were raised at the time of his nomination among the list of names for the auction and continue to be unanswered till now.

 

Firstly, the man has no international cricketing experience — he has been a decent performer in the county circuit and the national South Africa T20 League.

 

So, how does an IPL team that has just one major player who has been actively involved in the county circuit, i.e. Shane Warne decide to pay nearly $650,000 for Henderson?

 

Yes, he may have the record for most wickets in first-class T20 games but we all know that T20 statistics are often very misleading and this format is still new to most players.
