Advertisements over National Honour for Dhoni?

This sounds a bit hard to believe but the fact is that the Indian captain — MS Dhoni, who has been praised by the global cricket fraternity has finally erred in his judgement.

It turns out that Dhoni was due to receive one of the most recognized Indian national awards, called the Padma Bhushan.

However, ‘captain cool’ as Dhoni is famously called, decided to stay away and instead chose to complete his advertising shoot.

It is not as if he has not handled advertising schedules before or is new to the stardom that comes with being an Indian cricketer.

So, it was a personal decision indeed which indicates that national honours aren’t that high on Dhoni’s priorities.

Wonder what the staunchest of his supporters would have to say about this?
