5 things Japanese women want in a man from “Sexual Practices of the Japanese”

There’s a new theater production coming out in Vancouver. Not world news by any means.

However, the Japanese writer says she ‘writes about what she knows,’ what all aspiring writers hope to do to make a living off their writing.

Apparently, what the creator of “Sexual Practices of the Japanese” thinks she knows is about is being groped, love hotels and having an affair with Brad Pitt, er, Ichiro Suzuki. She calls the baseball player, the Brad Pitt of Japan.

Ichiro, she says, is a real fantasy figure for Japanese women.

Want woman want, he has. He is:

1. sporty

2. good looking

3. wealthy

4. masculine

5. famous

Groups of women come from Japan, buy seats along right field and sit behind bodyguards (Ichiro’s) to watch him play.

Hotel names and phone numbers are put on bras and tossed onto the field at him.

Ichiro responds by getting a hit, then another, then another, and another and another…

At any rate, this is one woman’s take on what Japanese women are looking for.
