Miss England Katrina Hodge is set for the Miss World 2009 pageant

The new Miss England 2009 has been announced.  Lance Corporal Katrina Hodge will take over the title of Miss England 2009 from Rachel Christie.

Katrina Hodge is also known as  ” Combat Barbie ” since she is a soldier in the British Army.

The army has released her from her duties in order that she can represent England at the Miss World 2009 Pageant that will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa on Saturday, 12th December, 2009.

She has been crowned Miss England, after Rachel Christie surrendered the Miss England crown as a result of a nightclub issue. Katrina has also been made known of her responsibilities in the upcoming pageant.

Katrina says she has no hopes of leaving the army since she has recently been promoted and hope to get back and be on the front line in Afghanistan.
