Sony will begin selling its VAIO TZ in the United States.

Sony calls it  "new line of richly designed, high-performance ultraportable notebooks."

It has an 11.1 inch LED backlit display.

It is LESS THAN one inch thick.

It has integrated WWAN (via Sprint) Connections with Sprint is a good reason to NOT buy anything.

It costs $2,299. $3,000 with the optional 32GB flash-based, solid-state hard drive.

Comes in black, carbon, champagne

gold and hand-painted Bordeaux.

It also, no doubt, has a Sony chip in it.

I have a good Japanese engineer friend that tells me Sony products are notorious for breaking down within hours of the expiration date on the warranty.

Hint…buy the extended warranty but don't tell Sony you are purchasing it.
