Sony announces 72 inch LCD TV/Internet Monitor
Sony is using the 2007 International Consumer Electronics show to announce it will launch a 72 inch LCD TV next month in the U.S. that can connect to the Internet and view online content.
Gee, that means I can do Yahoo searches on a 6 foot screen.
Sony will partner with AOL LLC and Yahoo! Inc. to offer the service later in the year.![]()
Sony also is exhibiting a 27 inch TV using OEL (organic electroluminescent) display technology, the largest to date. I am not sure I know what that means.
But, I remember seeing waves light up naturally when we were out to sea. Perhaps Sony has been able to capture that and put it into their TV displays.
In any event, the CES is the venue for launching new ways for consumers to keep the electronics industry humming.
What do you think?
