Japan Post Goes Green with Electric Cars That Are Red

Posted by Bill Belew on December 1st, 2008 in Japanese Products | No Comments

Japan Post is going seriously green.

Starting today (Dec 1), Japan Post will deploy 24,000 electric vehicles made by Mitsubishi motors.

The cars will be used for mail pickup nationwide.

Now, if they can just get the stamp lickers to be a more eco-friendly…you know, those little round sponge thingees in a mini-tub.

The day will soon be with us, and sooner, if OPEC and the Saudis get there next raise, a $75.00 bbl. oil hike! and the next one after that??? Blackmailers always come back for more! We will charge batteries in hybrid cars when Windmills and Solar power stations are producing most and demand is down, yielding surpluses at lower rates, and we will discharge them for everything we use that is electric, when solar and wind do not furnish enough to go around. Large pumping stations will also “ballast” the power grid, pumping water uphill when surpluses exist, and running it back down through generators for times of shortages, but at greater cost than “borrowing” from your car, or spare car batteries! We will no longer need electric motors in fridges, the cat is out of the bag, it can so be done Solar! and the days of the fridge shysters and shylocks are numbered! We will no longer cook with high amp resistive loads, microwave technologies have made advances and will do very low cost, fast and low power consumption cooking. We will use the newer Cambridge U. LED lamps, reducing by a huge amount the power needed for lighting. Post (GRD) great republican depression America will be a very much changed place, and the people that survive the GRD will be a changed people too! mostly vegan, gardeners, conservationists, thin, light bodied, and energetic, they will study hard on basic survival to stay alive, and in the polluted remains of a once grotesque and wasteful society, the will eek out an humble but enjoyable existence, no longer in the capitalists shackles, but democratic and liberal minded none the less, and build a new America where “Sustainable” and “Renewable” are Holy words and part of a severely enforced doctrine! Use your car batteries as you wish, a new day is dawning, Post GRD! Japan is leading the way!
