10GHz Processors from Unisantis
Unisantis of Japan is upping the ante on processing speed.
Right now I have 1gig and am thinking that I am motoring along.
Double that is not a big thing anymore.
How about 10 times the speed? Or 50 times the speed?
Unisantis, in cahoots with Singapore's Institute of Microelectronics (IME) thinks they are on to something, the Stacked Gate
Transistor (SGT) that will allow processors to move at 50GHz.
According to BizToolBelt, the new transistor, a 3D one at that wil have a bigger storage capability and is about 3-5 years away.
