Japanese Men Make More than Japanese Women
Japan is no different when it comes to paying its men more than its women, despite doing the same job and being the same age.
When averaging the wages for all industries and then taking a look at the disparity it might be alarming to some…particularly to females.
How much more do Japanese men make than their female counterparts?
At age 17 they are paid almost the same but NOT the same. The boys will make about $150/month more than the girls.
Ages 18-19 – boys lead girls by an average of $120/month.
Ages 20-24 – the fellows are ahead by abt $130/month.
Ages 24-29 – the guys smirk at the gals holding a payroll stub that shows they made almost $250/month more.
After this the disadvantage becomes even more dramatic.
Ages 30-34 – Guys are up by $450/month.
Ages 35-39 – The oddball sex is up by abt $900/month.
Ages 40-44 – The fairer sex trails by abt $1200/month.
Ages 45-49 – The prettier ones are down by abt. $1500/month.
Ages 50-54 – The dumbbells are still up by $1600/month.
Ages 55-59 – The difference starts to decline but not by much to $1400/month.
Ages 60-64 – The difference is back at $800/month.
Ages 65+ – The guys still lead but by abt. $500/month.
If I were a girl, I’d be angry about this. Especially if I were doing the same job and serving tea at the same time.
