Young bastards welcomed by Japan

Thanks to the ruling of a Supreme High Court in Japan, children that are born from a non-Japanese mother and Japanese father can now apply for Japanese citizenship. It is a surprising move, since Japan has always used the excuse of “maintaining unity” to avoid allowing any citizenship to half-Japanese children.

However, with the rapid aging of the Japanese population, it seems they have to become inventive. Without action, it is estimated that within five years there will be only two working persons for each retiree. The country is aging faster than any other country in the world…

Now it is only a matter of time until children with a Japanese mother but foreign father will be granted nationality too.
