Yomiuri TV Apologizes for Calling Chinese Journalists Spies
As if Japan's politicians didn't cause enough ill will between China and Japan to go around, one of Japan's major TV stations, Yomiuri TV, has decided to pitch in.
With no interviews, nor confirmed facts, Yomirui TV implied that two Chinese journalists were spies during a TV episode.
During a discussion of panelists, a flash on the screen read "Are many Chinese journalists often seen on TV really spies?"
When the show was recorded the names of the journalists were given. However, when the program was screened, just their initials were
When the journalists complained, the channel decided to offer an on-air apology.
Afterwards, the two reporters sneaked off into the dark. stepped behind the speakeasy to meet up with a shady young lady carrying an oversized handbag.
