Yahoo! Japan and eBay Inc will combine efforts for online auctions in Japan.

The idea is to make it easier for consumers to buy stuff over the Internet from the U.S. and Japan = both make more money.

Japanese will be able to bid for items on eBay through the Yahoo auction site.

Americans will buy items on Yahoo Auction via the eBay site.

The two giants launched a site – Sekaimon (World shopping).

Japanese shoppers will get help with translation, payments, shipping and customs clearance.

Americans will more easily buy Japanese manga, CDs and such.

Yahoo Japan has more than 15 million auction items.

eBay has more than 248 million registered users.

Yahoo Japan sold $36.4 billion. eBay dold $172.7 billion, both figures up this year.

eBay quit once after a 3 year try in Japan. The company is back for more bruises.

Wow! Seems like that should drastically flatten the barriers for individuals wanting to trade between the two countries!

You know who loses though, sites like dankedanke.com that help foreigners buy things from YahooAuctions
