World Bank Wants Japan to Make a Difference in Africa

Africa loses out with power outages, transportation bottlenecks and such.

The World Bank wants Japan to help in Africa with:

1. infrastructure

2. information technology

3. science

4. education

"Education, that is definitely something that Japan can hold out to the continent of Africa", says the World Bank's VP for Africa, a former education minister of

Nigeria,

Japan did develop into the world's second largest economy, despite its relatively small size in population.

Tokyo will co-host with the United States, the Tokyo International Conference on African Development next May.

The conference will focus on:

1. Africa's development

2. peace-keeping

3. environment

4. climate change
