My wife tried the real estate agent thing for a while. Thank goodness she got out of it.
Can't trust the buzzards. Most of what they can do, a somewhat resourceful person can do themselves.
Look in the paper, get a preapproval loan and go shopping. Sorta.
Still, many real estate agents can't be trusted any farther than you go throw them. Which by the looks of some is not very far.
Want a new condo in Tokyo? Supply is down. The cost is up.

Total Brain Co. says that according to their research the number of available new condos in Japan's capital is up 6.5%.
But, Real Estate Economic Institute Co says the number is down 11.5%.
Who you going to believe?
Total Brain says prices will be cut.
Real Estate Economic Institute says that due to stricter building standards, the supply of new units is down.
In any event, costs are up in Tokyo by 25-30% over 06-07, by 30-40% in Tokyo's 23 wards and 30% in Yokohama. Add 25% increase in neighboring Chiba.
Banks want developers to sell their inventory off and repay loans.
