Though the hospitals were equipped with maternity wards, a woman was refused because the hospitals said they did not have proper facilities.

During two hours of searching, the woman received two rejections by the same two hospitals twice!, Then, she was finally was admitted.

The Japanese ambulance crew also had difficulty knowing what to do with her.

Isn't a scream the same in any language?

The woman had already given birth by the time the ambulance arrived.

She didn't speak Japanese and had never consulted a doctor during her pregnancy further complicating the matter.japan.birthrate.jpg

But the real reason why Japan's birthrate is declining –

In the time period from 2004-2006, there were 172 cases of women being rejected more than five times by hospitals.

If I were a woman in Japan, I'd think twice about getting pregnant, too.
