Why It’s Dangerous to Ride a Bicycle in Japan

It can be dangerous to ride a bicycle in Japan.

If they don't get you coming they will get you going.

A 45-year old woman tried to cross an intersection following a green light…when a truck hauling a trailer driven by a 33-year old hit her AND her bicycle.

From the other direction another truck driver (36) ran over her, too.

Dead…yep…she was dead …from a fractured skull.

In Taiwan, if you are hit by a vehicle and not killed, the driver will be inclined to come back and run over you until you are dead…say my Taiwanese friends.

It is cheaper to pay funeral costs than to keep paying insurance dues.

In Japan…it seems…if the person you hit with your vehicle doesn't die…you can rely on someone in another vehicle to finish the deed for you.

Both truck drivers were arrested.
