We wonder what happens when kids get bullied and then commit suicide.

I wrote previously about 5 things that happen when children take their own lives.

Today, I learned a sixth.

Two local governments were ordered to pay a family 8.6 million yen in compensation for their child who committed suicide when his classmates bullied him.

The parents wanted 110 million yen.

How do you put a value on a kid's life?

The parents of the bullies already paid 2.4 million yen in a settlement.
