When Japanese Resourcefulness Goes Too Far
The normally super efficient, detail-minded, planned out the wazoo Japanese apparently can cross the 'line' sometimes, too.
A Japan Airlines crew found themselves with an extra snack cart right before takeoff from South Korea to Japan with 280 passengers on board.
What to do.
They stuck the cart in the bathroom so it wouldn't go flying down the aisle or elsewhere.
Once in the air, the JAL crew removed the sealed snacks from the head and served them to the passengers.
Safety was not the issue, consideration for the passengers was, said a JAL official.
I wonder which Americans would complain about most – the snacks taking off in the head or NOT getting their snacks,
Answer – sue them!
