Ask a Japanese person what they are the proudest of in regards to Japan?

1. their economy? Nope. Two out of five are worried it's going to tank

2.the food? Nope. Not with the recent import of unsafe food.

3. price control. Nope, again. Japanese see the prices climbing.

4. science and technology. Nope. Japanese are proud of this aspect but it's not the tops.

5. healthcare and welfare? Nope. Number four on the "I'm proud of Japan list."

6. the country. Japan's patriotism is growing - 57% have some now.

7. Japan's excellent culture and arts. We're getting close now.

8. Japan's beautiful nature. It is indeed grand, but the not the tops.

What the Japanese are most proud of - it's long history and tradition - says 48% of Japanese recently surveyed.

"We Japanese love Japan and its history and traditions."

What do you like most about Japan?
