What 88 and 14 Mean to Daniel Cowart and Paul Schlesselman

In Japan four is associated with death and nine with suffering.

We wonder today what 88 and 14 mean to Daniel Cowart and Paul Schlesselman.

According to AP -

“The numbers 14 and 88 are symbols in skinhead culture, referring to a 14-word phrase attributed to an imprisoned white supremacist: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children” and to the eighth letter of the alphabet, H. Two “8″s or “H”s stand for ‘Heil Hitler.’”

I can hear ringing in one ear from my Japanese friends “That’s why we don’t allow guns in our society.”

In my other ear – “Guns don’t kill people, idiotic skinheads WANT to kill people.” But, this time the ATF stopped them. Thank goodness.
