Vanilla from Cow Dung Garners Ig Nobel Prize for Japanese Woman

A 25-year old Japanese woman developed vanillin – vanilla flavoring and fragrance – from cow dung.

As a result she became the 12th Japanese person to be awared an Ig-Nobel Prize.

Ig-Nobel prizes are a spoof of the Nobel Prizes that "first make people laugh, and then make them think."

Yamamoto's research was awarded at a ceremony held at Harvard University.cow.dung.ice.cream.jpg

I can see a new Coldstone flavor coming or Baskin and Robbins changing their name to 32.

Would you like some Cow Dung ice cream?
