Toyota’s Quality Takes a Hit – 54,000 Cars Recalled

Toyota Motor Corp is recalling about 54,000 passenger cars because of engine problems.

The cars that are being recalled were manufactured between Dec. 1997 and Nov. 2000.

Apparently two people left their car running while parked and a problem with the engine’s computer control system caused a fire.

Nobody was hurt, except Toyota’s pride.toyota recall.jpg

Toyota has produced some 50-60 million cars since 1997. 54,000 is about one-tenth of one percent of those cars…and only 2 of those caused a problem.

Yep…seems like Toyota’s quality won’t take too much of a hit.

What do you think?
