Toyota is planning to double the number of conventional hybrid models that it sells worldwide. Toyota also plans to increase research into the plug-and-drive hybrid as well.

When all is said and done Toyota plans to have 14 gasoline-electric hybrid models to offer.

It is also planning to offer a more fuel-efficient gasline engine as well as offer a car that can burn mixtures of ethanol and gas….the only area it trails anybody in anything.  GM already has ethanol engines.

Toyota will introduce their version in Brazil next year…because Brazil already has a nationwide ethanol distribution system.

Toyota intends to stay the world leader in:

1. fuel efficiency

2. emission reduction

and

3. hybrids

Toyota CEO, Watanabe Katsuaki said that Toyota is getting close to a 50 percent reduction in the costs for conventional hybrids systems in its upcoming models.

Affordable … efficient … environmentally friendly…high quality…

If anyone can do it, Toyota can.

What do you think?
