Top Ten Japanese Companies Depending on Asian Profits
Japanese companies make money in other places besides Europe and North America. To be sure, not a few of them get their earnings from their Asian neighbors. Can you say China?
Many such companies, for example, make car parts and high tech products to support goods sent to Europe and North America.
However, when business takes a downturn in North America and Europe, for companies getting their earnings in Asia, it doesn’t always mean things are gloomy.
Yamato Kogyo makes electric furnaces for sale in China. Shiseido gets most of its overseas cosmetics revenue from the Middle Kingdom.
The top ten Japanese companies getting their earnings from their Asian neighbors are:
1. Yamato Kogyo – 71.3% of total operating profits.
2. TDK – 53.2%
3. Hoya – 50.9%
4. Minebea -50.6%
5. Calsonic Kansei – 49.9%
6. Toyota Boshoku -49.2%
7. Nissin Kogyo – 48.3%
8. F.C.C – 47.5%
9. Kintetsu World Express – 45.9%
10. Alps Electric – 44.3%
