More people die from fires in Japan than in traffic deaths…nearly nine times as many people that is.

The top nine reasons why a person dies in a fire in Japan according to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency are:

9. Matches and lighters – 1.7%

8. Electrical light wiring – 2.7%

7. Heaters – 2.8%arson.jpg

6. Playing with fire – 3.4% (mama told you not to do that.)

5. Open-air fires – 5.9%

4. Suspected arson – 9.6%

3. Stoves – 9.8%

2. Cigarettes – 10.1%

1. Downright Arson – 13.6%

Don't play with fire or you'll get burnt. And if the fire doesn't kill you, it will surely make you wet the bed.
