Tiffany Co. Gives update on Business in Japan

Half of all international sales by Tiffany Co. are in Japan. I think that is quite impressive.

Now, Tiffany wants to sell more to this notorious picky consumer.

Tiffany has plans to open a freestanding store this fall in a key center of luxury retail activity – the Roppongi Hills section of Tokyo.

There are plans to remerchandise its Ginza flagship store, stage a special bridal event and introduce the Tiffany Novo Collection – exclusive to the Ginza store in September and then expanded to the rest of the country in October…followed by other international markets and the US early next year.

Tiffay also intends a renovation of its Mitsukoshi’s Ginza store.

The overall aim of these initiatives is to get Japan to dig deeper and spend more on this world class item.

World class and effective – my future bride responded with a ‘yes’ when I put a Tiffany diamond on her finger.

I hope the ring wasn’t the only persuasive factor.

Japanese love the best and will continue to buy Tiffany.

What do you think?
