The New Year at RisingSunOfNihon

Just a quick note to say Happy New Year to regular RisingSunOfNihon readers.

Yeah, I know that you can't say it to me. But, I can still say it to others.

At this point I should also write about new year's resolutions and lofty goals for this year.

To be sure, I have in the back of my mind things I'd like to accomplish, in life and here at RSON.

RSON enjoyed more than 700,000 visitors last year and 1.50 million page views.

I wonder, what is everyone looking at. But, happy I am that you have come.

RSS readers have climbed from 90ish to 250ish.

Hmm…could I double both of those numbers this year I wonder?

I am going to try.

I will introduce different series, starting with Learn Japanese from Me, in hopes of finding regular readers who will come back often.

I hope to have guest writers who will give a little spice, maybe even some sugar or cinnamon to the blog. Maybe even some of their readers will come visit and stay, too.

I want to get a bit more personal here at RSON, too. I will share some lessons I have learned from my time in Japan, in short story, non-fiction form. Maybe you will share with me some lessons you have learned, too.

The underlying purpose of RSON, however, will not change.

To create a discussion, an awareness about things Japanese..

"Hey, look what's going on over here. What do you think about that?"

Thanks for reading.

And, please come back often.
