Telecommuting, Medical Advances is answer to work shortage

Submitted by Bill Belew on Thursday, 22 February 2007No Comment

Japan expects to lose 7.5 million people for its work force in the next 20 years UNLESS, the country sees some serious advances made in allowing workers to telecommute and the number of healthy seniors increases. Both, are quite likely.

Japan can be very innovative if they have a good idea to work with. And, its 60-year olds really are the new 40-year olds.

Advances in ceramic bone substitutes and drugs for dementia…drugs for dementia…drugs for dementia…I think I said that, are considered key.

Additionally, IT development that would make it easier for pregnant women and stay-at-home moms could be a boon.

Japan is a physically small country. And its IT capabilities are second to none….as is the longevity of its citizens.

These two battles, medical advances and improved IT, should be on Japan's first attack list.

If you could telecommute your work, would you want to do it from home and perhaps do it longer?
