Tax Payments Made at 40,000 Convenience Stores
Hoping to collect more taxes, Japan is making it easier.
From January, small business owners and others will be able to pay their taxes at any of some 40,000 convenience stores nationwide.
The National Tax Agency is asking convenience store operators to offer the service.
So far
1. Seven-Eleven Japan Co
2. Lawson Inc
3. FamilyMart Co
are expected to comply.
Anything, to get the people in the door.
Small business owners and people behind in their tax payments are targeted.
The limit is 300,000 yen.
There are already some 40,000 locations where payments can be made – banks, post offices and tax offices.
The number will double when the convenience stores come on board and payments can be made 24/7.
Oh, boy!
Have you ever been late paying your taxes?
