Sumo Wrestler, Asashoryu, Bordering on Depression

The Japan Sumo Association normally doesn't let its dirty laundry get aired.

However, when their best wrestler is NOT a Japanese, why not?

Asashoryu was suspended for two tournaments because he skipped out on a regional tour due to an 'injury'. The injury didn't, however, prevent him from playing soccer at home in Mongolia.asahoryu.depressed.jpg

Problem is, now Asashoryu can't eat or sleep. And we can imagine what can happen if a sumo wrestler can't eat, now can't we?

A shrink diagnosed Asashoryu as being on the borderline of depression and recommended he have a rest in an environment he wants most.

Gee, I want that, too!

Asashoryu's stable master is considering the advice of the Japanese Frazier before he decides if Asashoryu should go home to Mongolia…to play some more soccer.

What do you do when you are feeling depressed?

Maybe Asashoryu needs to fight The Really Big Boys of Sumo.

But then they might completely destroy his confidence.
