Spider-man 3 Opens in Tokyo

Why would Spider-man 3 open in Tokyo first? Not the U.S.?

Tobey Maguire and co-star Kirsten Dunst along with director Sam Raimi each got their first look at the final cut of the third installment of the Spider-man series.

Maguire, "kind of liked it."

Dunst, who started in the films when she was 17, "We've all grown up together. I'm so proud of everyone. It's so hard to be good in these movies, but I think everyone did phenomenal."

But why Tokyo, opening May, 1st and then globally May, 4th?

The movie is from Sony Entertainment and Columbia Pictures.

Gone are the days when we see movies in Japan months after they come out in the U.S.

Are you a Spider-man fan?
