Sony Will Launch HD Video Download Service for PS3
Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. has plans to launch high-definition, high resolution game-related video downloads for its PlayStation 3.
Users will be ale to watch the programs on their televisions.
First up – buyers of "Gran Turismo 5 Prologue," a racing game due out in mid-December.
Cost – Y200.
Sony is already working with Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. and Sharp Corp. in online distribution of video programming for TVs. However, only the latest sets are compatible.
Nintendo provides news and weather info online for Wii full-sized consoles. I bet those are fun to play and watch.![]()
