Sony Shareholders Don’t Want to Know Salary Figures
This is kind of weird to me.
Sony shareholders don't know how much executives of the company get paid AND they don't want to know…at least not enough of them want to know so as to be able to find out.
Sony only tells how much the total amount of compensation is for its execs, not what each individual makes.
In order to know individual figures, a change in Sony's charter is required. To make a change in the charter, a two-third's vote is necessary. For the past six years shareholders who want to know cannot even get a majority vote, and that, despite Sony's foreign ownership rising to a record 52.7%.![]()
This year, just 44% of stockholders said they want to know how much each executive is making,
up 2% from last year.
Let's see….2% increase per year…it will take another dozen years before stockholders will know how many billions their bosses are making.
Do you want to know how much the top people in your company are making?
