Sony Recalls Cyber Shot DSC-T5 Cameras

Sony Corps' problems continue to mount.

The company is faced with recalling 416,000 Cyber Shot DSC-T5 cameras, 350,000 of which were sold in the United States, Europe and China. The rest were sold in Japan.

The case may warp, create an edge than can cut or scratch a user's hands.

So far, some 30 customers in Japan and several others overseas have reported the defect since September of 2005.cyber.shot.sony.jpg

Of course, leaving the camera on the dashboard out

in the sun had nothing to do with the problems, I suppose.

Still, Sony, willing to do the right thing before it becomes too wrong, will replace the bottom casing where the problem is, at not cost.

Great quality control, eh? Wait for a problem to arise and then fix it for free….NOT!
