Sony PSP-3000 Launch in October
Sony will launch a new version of its PlayStation Portable hand-held game player.
It will feature an advanced liquid crystal display in Japan and other parts of Asia, North America and Europe.
The basic design and functions are the same….the upgrade is in the higher resolution and a built-in microphone has been added.
The upgrade PSP will go for $199.99 in North America and 199 euro (Y32,000 = $300ish) in Europe. Eat your hearts out Europe!
More than 41 million PSP units have been sold since Dec 2004.
Sony says it will continue to expand on the PSP platform = roll in the dough, by building on its strong lineup of new game titles.
Oh, and Christmas is on its way.
Black, white or silver?

They have a feature called skype and are pretty much Hack proof. They have a built in mic which is cool. They are home brew proof too.Instead of the home button they have the PS logo. They are tougher than the other psps. I was tripped with my psp in my hand and I pretty mu8ch squished it but no harm was done. They are extremely great with Sony’s official 5.01 firmware which includes Playstation store. I highly recomend this product

ho hum, i own a PSP Lite (and love it!!) but the new PSP v3 is kinda…i dunno. Perhaps “suck” is the word? Looks like either Nintendo copied them or vice versa. We need a PSP2 that has new features & a new design totally! Not an ‘improvement’ on the screen that actually is a step backward. Plus the MIC is not that big an improvement. Any word on how much internal RAM this thing got? Because Internet needs more RAM to run good, PSP Lite had an upgrade that makes it able to run most WWW sites OK.
