Sony PC Software Vulnerable to Hackers

Sony's MicroVault USB memory stick and fingerprint reader has software that creates a hidden directory on a PC hard drive that is vulnerable to attack by computer hackers.

The software, known as a root kit, leaves room for hackers to infect a personal computer secretly.

McAfee Inc. in the United States confirmed the vulnerability created by the

"Software creators apparently did not keep the security implications in mind. The application could be used to hide arbitrary software, including malicious software," said McAfee geeks.

Sony replied with "Uh, oh. We will get back to you later."

Is Japan's quality lacking more these days…or is it just Sony?
