Softbank Profits Up 1700-fold Over Last Year

Softbank Corp saw their profits go up 17 times what they were during the same quarter last year.

Profits were $211.2 million!

Sales were up 34% to $5.57 billion.

Success comes from Softbank's purchase of Vodafone Operations Group PLC last year, now known as Softbank Mobile.

Softbank also offers electronic shopping. Most importantly, the players for

the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks professional baseball team will be hoping that some of those profits will pour down on them and their teammates.

Softbank's CEO thinks stylish, light handsets in many different colors, along with digital TV programming was at the heart of Softbank Mobile's appeal, not to mention price-slashing.
