Snow on Mt. Fuji – Surfers in the Bay

There’s a Japanese saying, “He who climbs Fuji once is wise. He who climbs it twice is a fool.” I have been up Fuji-san (san is the Japanese for mountain, also pronounced yama – yah mah ) three times. I am not sure what that makes me.

One time when I climbed it, it was in the 80s at the foot of the mountain, but snow on the top. Yeah, that can happen.

Here is a pic of some surfers (notice the wet suits) with the beautiful Mt. Fuji snow-capped in the background.

It is even more beautiful to see with the naked eye.
