Rising Oil Prices Force School to Cancel Lunch

Rising oil prices have forced a school in Yokohama to cancel lunch for two days in January.

The ingredients in school lunches are more expensive because of rising oil prices says the Yokohama Municipal Ekoda Elementary school.

Their only option was to cancel lunch for two days.

The kids won't be happy!

Moms won't be happy either.

They will have to get up early and pack a lunch for their school goers.japan.school.lunch.jpg

The Board of Education already collects about Y40,700 each year for lunch.

What happens when oil goes over $100 a barrel? $200 a barrel?

Send the kids home for lunch maybe?

Do you pack a lunch when you go to school?
