Question # 38 – Can you find convenience stores when teaching ESL in Japan?

The only place in the world that might have more convenience stores than Japan is Thailand.

7-11, Lawson, Family Mart…everywhere.

And if you can’t for some unknown reason find a convenience store, just about everything is sold in vending machines someplace.

The convenience stores are open 24/7 and have all the, well, um, conveniences

that one might want….food, drinks, snacks, booze, magazines, meds, …yeah, it’s all there.esl.japan.gif

The bbq buns…good stuff if you need something to eat on the road, too.

Surveys are taken of how business is at convenience stores to make predictions on the whole Japanese economy.

Yup, convenience stores abound….and they are convenient, too.

Which is your favorite convenient store in Japan?
